Gazprom and UEC to study possibility of concluding lifecycle contracts for servicing gas turbine equipment

Release

Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Alexander Artyukhov, Director General of United Engine Corporation (UEC), today signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018 an Agreement of Intent to develop state-of-the-art technologies for servicing gas turbine equipment.

The document was signed in the presence of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.

The parties agreed to explore the possibility of transiting to long-term contracts for servicing gas turbine drive engines produced by UEC and operated in gas compressor units and gas turbine power plants at Gazprom's facilities. Such contracts are expected to provide for servicing and repair throughout the entire lifecycle of engines. In addition, the parties will address the possibility of applying the system of their remote inspection and technical condition control.

It is planned that the new form of servicing will help Gazprom increase the operational efficiency of gas turbine engines and ensure a balanced loading of UEC's production capacities.
