COCOA, FLORIDA, USA, March 23, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Diamond Scientific today announces the installation of a SWG 100 Biogas, a visionary emissions monitoring (CEMS) device ideal for landfills, anaerobic digesters, and wastewater treatment plants.

Diamond Scientific, a Florida based company aimed at protecting people, animals, plants, and minerals by offering solutions to reverse global warming, successfully installed the SWG 100 Biogas—a continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS). This product is instrumental in the Diamond Scientific mission—to constantly seek opportunities and products that will contribute to a better world. Diamond Scientific believes that by providing equipment that will offer environmental and cost benefits toward alternative energy solutions, the company can do their part to lessen impact to the environment and the climate.

The SWG 100 Biogas CEMS device produced by German manufacturer MRU was installed at the Palm Beach County Solid Waste Association (SWA) landfill. The Diamond Scientific team went on site to supervise and facilitate this remarkable device that was custom designed to meet specific blueprints requested by the customer. While there were a number of distinct challenges, the Diamond Scientific staff is proud to announce another successful endeavor toward global sustainability.

The unit was initially set up at the flare station in a custom-built stand with a weather shield. The team configured the wiring to the power source in order to run a test on the unit’s capabilities. The landfill’s gas source was at a higher pressure than normal, and the Diamond Scientific engineers installed an aftermarket regulator inside the cabinet to handle this load and meet the customer’s request. This regulator would protect the internals of the instrument from damage that could occur under higher pressure. MRU manufactures these analyzers with added space for this type of modification.

The SWG 100 Biogas CEMS required a weather shield that was fabricated and installed by the engineers at Palm Beach County SWA to protect it from the elements. Due to the driving, horizontal rain common in south Florida, supervisory staff concluded that the stand/shield combination will be a standard specification on all future CEMS units.

This Palm Beach County SWA installation of the SWG 100 Biogas is a further example of Diamond Scientific’s continued mission to protect the environment and contribute to the global footprint.

Diamond Scientific is a Veteran Administration verified VOSB, DOT-DBE and HUBZONE Certified Company that provides both portable and fixed equipment for environmental and hazardous applications. The Diamond Scientific focus is on customers along with air and water quality research, IVF labs, brewery, food, pharmaceutical sciences, landfill-bio digester applications, safety equipment for personal protection, national security, and toxic gas. The company has over 30 years of experience with environmental applications and 100 years of collective manufacturing experience. Diamond Scientific represents manufacturers with US based operations, and offers ISO 9001, UL and safety related certifications for their products and solutions.
