Love Island Australia hit the headlines while the fourth series was airing here in the UK, largely thanks to some explosive moments and controversial behaviour.

We're not going to lie, it sounded like epic television. But with no way to stream it on this side of the pond, we had to live it vicariously through the internet.

That was, until the folks over at ITV announced they would be bringing it to our telly screens. And here's everything you need to know...

Love Island Australia: when is it on?

Starting in the UK last Monday (August 13), Love Island Australia airs on ITVBe at 11.05pm every week night.

Prepare for the addiction to kick in.

Love Island Australia contestants: who are they?

The Aussie line-up includes a former (UK) Big Brother housemate and someone that was previously linked to Justin Bieber (allegedly).

Yes, the BB11 star turned up in the Love Island(Aus) villa as a new arrival.

You may remember that he struck up a romance with fellow Big Brother housemate - and series winner - Josie Gibson after their stint back in 2010. They ended up splitting the following year, with John then moving back to Oz.

And this is what he did next.

Grant

The 22-year-old is an electrician and said he's looking to find someone to settle down with.

Justin

Love Island just wouldn't be Love Island without a model, and here he is.

The 27-year-old is looking for a loyal girlfriend (someone want to call Georgia Steele, or shall we?).

Charlie

An international rugby player and sports person, this 22-year-old has represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games.

Eden

At 25-years-old, Eden is a prison officer.

He also has a type - apparently he's on the lookout for "big boobs, big booty, some lip fillers, all round good body." Right.

Josh

A 25-year-old sports administrator, he claims to have wandering eye. Lovely.

Millie

At 24, Millie loves animals and has a job as a doggie daycare worker. Er, where do we sign up?

Cassidy

This 23-year-old country girl is a bartender who, apparently, is looking to break her 'dry spell' in the villa. You know what we mean.

Erin

She's a nurse who loves Disney and that likes to get what she wants (don't we all?). Erin is on the lookout for someone feisty.

Natasha

Apparently, the 24-year-old had to sign an NDA after sleeping with a mystery celebrity (who, FYI, was very heavily hinted to be Justin Bieber by the voiceover man).

The beauty salon owner has dated millionaires in the past, and has a thing for rugby players (oh hey, Charlie).

Love Island Australia: where is it filmed?

Here's an interesting piece of trivia for you: Love Island Australia was filmed in a villa in Majorca. Sound familiar? Yup, as it turns out, the Aussie villa was a mere half an hour away from the one where the UK islanders were staying.

Love Island Australia: who won?

If you don't want any SPOILERS, look away now.

It's no secret that Love Island Australia has already aired elsewhere in the world, so all of the drama is already available to find out there on the world wide web.

The winning couple was Grant Crapp and Tayla Damir, and they went home with the $50,000 prize.

It turns out that Grant was hiding a secret girlfriend on the outside - pretty Crapp, right? - but it looks like he's trying to make a go of things with Tayla now the show is over.
